My Neck of the Woods

Yesterday, the temperature reached a blazing 18°C here in South East England, certainly not following the trend of previous years but, thanks to Global Warming, we got to go out for a nice long stroll!  The smell of dampness, death and decay was intoxicating, it never ceases to amaze me how little time it takes from the leaves starting to turn to the trees being strippied bare.  The leaves underfoot are already decomposing thanks to the work of worms and a multitude of fungi, working unseen around the clock, recycling the waste and debris…Mother Nature really has got it sussed!   Here are some photos of how its looking in my nexk of the woods at the moment.

A decent camera is well and truly on 2012’s wish list!!!
