King for a Day

All is turned asunder,

The left becomes the right

Light becomes darkness

And dark turns into light

When man transforms to woman

And woman into man

For neither he or she

shall escape Old Saturn’s hand

As the midnight hour

Begins to strike midday

Living bones do tremble

Neath their masks of clay

But tears shall turn to laughter

And merry shall they make

When the Lord of Misrule

Brings chaos in his wake

Slave becomes the Master

And Master must obey

As day turns into night-time

And night-time turns to day

But where then is our king

At this dread time of Misrule?

You need to look no further

Than the faces of the fool!
